Korean Deaf "Caretaker"![]()
We are looking for someone who is deaf and fluent in ASL to work with a hearing Korean family that has a deaf 5-year-old son. The family lives in Hanover, Maryland and is interested in hiring someone deaf and ASL-fluent to take care of their 5-year-old deaf son after school and through the summer. ![]()
A big plus would be if the person knows how to read/write Korean and could connect the family to the deaf Korean community in the area.![]()

National Space Day was held few days ago ~ there was a spotlight on a deaf individual who is a long time Howard County resident , Apurva Varia who currently works as a mission operations director at NASA ~ hats off to him for his service!In celebration of National Space Day today, May 6th, and Asian Pacific American (APA) Heritage Month, we are spotlighting Apurva Varia, a Deaf Indian who grew up loving space and has been working at NASA as Mission Operations Director.![]()

It will be held at Howard County Public Library, Miller Branch. It is located on 9421 Frederick Road, Ellicott City, Maryland.
